چکیده

According to studies on global plastic manufacturing and the resulting pollution, wastes have been identified as a serious environmental concern. The impact of garbage marine species, humans, environment is source public concern, necessitating need save ecosystems lives that depend them. Polyethylene terephthalate (PET) water bottles significant carbon footprint represent tremendous waste. In United Arab Emirates (UAE), PET are widely utilized, with yearly consumption reaching 450 per person. This study aims review literature using in UAE. A systematic search was conducted journal articles, peer-reviewed etc., published last 12 months. main aspects this include information how managed UAE worldwide. addition, it discusses health effects caused by wastes, consumers responded policies, so on. article selection criteria included related UAE, waste management, consequences, etc. total 30 articles were selected initial screening, 20 met final review. To establish credibility research, we understood necessary survey population see best approach deal bottles.

Chemical migration in drinking water stored in polyethylene terephthalate ( PET ) bottles : a

Due to its chemical inertness and physical properties PET is particularly suitable for food packaging applications, especially for drinking water. More bottled water is consumed than other bottled beverages. This article is a survey and toxicological investigation of chemical compounds, which are able to diffuse from PET bottles to water. The exact detailed chemical composition of plastic mater...

Migration of formaldehyde and acetaldehyde into mineral water in polyethylene terephthalate (PET) bottles.

The levels of formaldehyde (FA) and acetaldehyde (AA) in polyethylene terephthalate (PET) bottles and in commercial mineral water are reported. All the water samples bottled in Japan contained detectable levels of FA (10.1-27.9 microg l(-1)) and AA (44.3-107.8 microg l(-1)). Of 11 European bottled water samples, eight did not contain either FA or AA, while the remaining three had detectable lev...

Chemical compounds and toxicological assessments of drinking water stored in polyethylene terephthalate (PET) bottles: A source of controversy reviewed.

A declaration of conformity according to European regulation No. 10/2011 is required to ensure the safety of plastic materials in contact with foodstuffs. This regulation established a positive list of substances that are authorized for use in plastic materials. Some compounds are subject to restrictions and/or specifications according to their toxicological data. Despite this, the analysis of ...

Solar Disinfection of Viruses in Polyethylene Terephthalate Bottles.

Solar disinfection (SODIS) of drinking water in polyethylene terephthalate (PET) bottles is a simple, efficient point-of-use technique for the inactivation of many bacterial pathogens. In contrast, the efficiency of SODIS against viruses is not well known. In this work, we studied the inactivation of bacteriophages (MS2 and ϕX174) and human viruses (echovirus 11 and adenovirus type 2) by SODIS....
